Android System Permission Setup Guide

Follow these system level steps to enable your device to route virtualized location vectors correctly.

Why is this necessary?Android operating layers enforce strict sandboxing security rules. To prevent rogue software from faking your GPS signal silently, the system requires you to intentionally authorize MockLoc inside your developer environment layout.
1

Unlock Android Developer Options

Open your phone's main Settings app. Scroll down and enter About Phone or Software Information. Locate the Build Number row entry and tap it rapidly exactly seven (7) times in a row. You will see a small message pop up saying "You are now a developer!".

2

Access the Developer Options Submenu

Go back to the main Settings screen. Look toward the very bottom or click into System Settings. You will find a brand new option visible named Developer Options. Tap into it.

3

Select the Mock Location App Target

Inside Developer Options, scroll deep into the layout until you find the Debugging subcategory header. Look for an setting labeled "Select mock location app". Tap it, and choose MockLoc from your device selection list.

Verification Check

Open your MockLoc mobile application. If all steps were configured correctly, the warning banners will drop and you can begin shifting your coordinate matrix directly from the map timeline interface!
